Through the Lens of Pablo García
On Saturday, February 15, 2025, I had the privilege of capturing with my camera the II Tenerife Corporate Race, an event that has become an unmissable fixture for the business community and running enthusiasts on the island. As a photographer, I was able to document the energy, camaraderie, and emotion of the participants with every step of their journey. Organized by the Canaryrun Club and the +Kmororun Sports Association, in collaboration with the Arona City Council, the race brought together hundreds of participants in an atmosphere full of passion and solidarity.
A Race for Everyone
From my perspective behind the lens, I could see how the race offered two main distances, catering to different levels of fitness and experience:
- 5 km: For those seeking a manageable challenge or an introduction to running.
- 10 km: Designed for more experienced and resilient runners.
Teams of 2, 3, or 4 runners, whether male, female, or mixed, gave it their all with every stride. I also documented the special category for freelancers and independent runners, capturing the diversity of profiles that made this event something truly special. The children's category was undoubtedly one of the most heartwarming moments of the day, with the little ones enjoying sports in a safe and motivating environment.
A Scenic Route
Through my camera, I captured the beauty of the course, which started and ended at the Antonio Domínguez Stadium in Playa de las Américas. The images of runners crossing the Golden Mile and the promenade conveyed the excitement of a race set in a spectacular environment. The evening light added a magical touch to the photographs, turning each image into a testament to the effort and dedication of the participants.
The race began at 6:30 pm, allowing the runners to enjoy the sea breeze and a unique experience running at sunset. The organizers ensured the route was well-marked, with strategically placed hydration points to ensure the well-being of everyone.
An Event with a Charitable Spirit
One of the aspects I focused on capturing with my camera was the charitable spirit of the race. The organization allocated 1 euro from each registration to a local charity, promoting social commitment and helping those in need. In every smile and in each gesture of support between runners, the true meaning of this event was reflected: sports and solidarity hand in hand.
Support and Sponsorship
Thanks to the sponsors and collaborators, the race was able to take place in optimal conditions. The Economic Promotion of Arona City Council and DXT Tenerife, alongside companies such as Spring Hoteles, El Alce Publicidad, and Radio Club Tenerife, made this unforgettable day possible.
Exponential Growth
Compared to its first edition, the Tenerife Corporate Race has grown significantly, something reflected in my photographs: more participants, more excitement, and impeccable organization. I am sure that future editions will continue to establish it as a key event on the island's sports calendar, attracting more businesses and runners interested in combining sports, networking, and solidarity.
Through my lens, I witnessed teamwork, personal growth, and the joy of the participants. The II Tenerife Corporate Race has been a resounding success and sets a high bar for future editions. Without a doubt, it is an event that deserves to be remembered and photographed over and over again.
