The XIII Carrera Popular Llano del Camello once again brought together runners, families, and enthusiasts for a day marked by effort, joy, and sporting spirit. As a photographer, I had the honor of capturing every moment of this unique event, where sports and community come together.
Organized by the Trivalle Athletics Club, under the direction of Nacho Martín and with the support of local businesses, the XIII edition of the Carrera Popular was a resounding success. The dedication of volunteers and the active participation of the public made this event a highlight in the region’s sports calendar.
From the preparations to the finish line, there was an impeccable logistical setup that ensured a smooth experience for both seasoned runners and amateurs of all ages.
Experiencing this race from behind the lens is both a challenge and a privilege. Beyond freezing images of runners in action, my goal was to capture the essence of each moment:
• The tension before the starting gun.
• The effort reflected on faces during the uphill stretches.
• The camaraderie among participants, sharing encouragement and support.
The streets of Llano del Camello came alive with energy, with spectators cheering on the runners every step of the way. Each photograph aimed to tell a story, from personal triumphs to the joy of crossing the finish line.
One of the most special places for any photographer at an event like this is the finish line. Here, every image carries deep meaning:
• Smiles of satisfaction after overcoming a challenge.
• Hugs between teammates and family members.
• Small details, like medals and emotional gestures.
This is the moment where all the effort comes together, and capturing it through the camera is, without a doubt, an honor.
The XIII Carrera Popular Llano del Camello was more than just a sporting event. The additional activities and festive atmosphere turned the day into a true community gathering. Families enjoyed workshops, live music, and recreational areas, creating a cheerful and welcoming environment.
Additionally, solidarity played a key role through social initiatives linked to the event, reflecting the organization’s commitment to the local community.
None of this would have been possible without the hard work of the Trivalle Athletics Club, the leadership of Nacho Martín, and the unwavering support of the sponsoring businesses. Their dedication and effort allow the Carrera Popular Llano del Camello to grow year after year, establishing itself as an essential event on the sports calendar.
As a photographer, I am grateful for the opportunity to capture the magic of this event. Through my images, I hope to have conveyed not only the energy of the competition but also the emotion, the spirit of perseverance, and the unity of an entire community.
The XIII Carrera Popular Llano del Camello was not just a sporting success but also a tribute to the values that make athletics great: camaraderie, effort, and passion. See you next year, camera in hand!
